2008 EDUCATION POSITION PAPER

With input from its members, NEP prepared an education position paper which was presented by NEP Executive Director at the Cambodia Development Cooperation Forum (CDCF) in November 2008.

Valuing Teachers: A Policy Report

NEP has actively supported a major research report on the motivation and morale of teachers in Cambodia, part of an international VSO initiative called Valuing Teachers.

Recommendations in the Valuing Teachers report, released in December 2008, have been presented to and recognized by senior MoEYS officials. NEP will continue to encourage implementation of this report's recommendations.

Preschool Research

In November, NEP released The Impact of Preschool on Early Childhood Education in Cambodia. This report  explored the contribrutions of preschool education on grade 1 students study performance and other benefits for both students and their families.

2007 Research

Education NGO Report

Each year, NEP conducts research that monitors education NGO activity and challenges. This research is intended to complement that of the Royal Government of Cambodia, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the development partner community on the state of education in Cambodia.
