NEP provides a mechanism to promote dialogue among its own members and between government, the Ministry of Education, Youth, and Sport, donors, and NGOs in order to improve the quality of education for all in a spirit of cooperation.

NEP is committed to developing dialogue between government and civil society on education issues, undertaking and disseminating research on key issues, and helping education NGOs increase their effectiveness.

In the past year, NEP has:

•  Supported the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports in the planning process for the Education Strategic Plan (ESP) and Education Sector Support Program (ESSP) Mid-Term Review.
• Produced condensed versions of the Education Strategic Plan (ESP) and Education Sector  Support Program (ESSP).
• Organized ESP/ESSP and Advocacy Training workshops.
• Undertaken research on barriers to education for all.
• Produced Education NGO Reports on education sector activities and challenges.
• Provided training and capacity building workshops for its 75 members.

NEP will continue to facilitate discussions and act on opportunities for collaboration, collective learning and education for all.
